Feeling Something Fall

Well here in my part of the world we are in full-blown autumn. The oaks and maple trees are so pretty and peaking. Reds. oranges and golds everywhere. It's been raining a ton and the grasses are very vibrant shades of green! Love it. I have to admit this is my favorite time of year! Of, course having a September birthday might have something to do with that as well. hee hee.

Things are on track. My apartment drains backed up three times in the last week of September. YUCK! The last time we had the new beautiful carpet already down and presto. more drainage. Ewww. I live in an apartment and there is mildew under the baseboards, looks like from previous problems :( ...I'm sure it will be resolved.

In the mean time... I have this month's We Believe Blog Train freebie for you. Here are all of your stops... Don't miss out on any! Remember, we are a global group and may post at different times on Oct. 15th.

This month is Alpha and Omega
Scripture: Revelation 1:8 (KJV)

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Sad to See Summer Go!

Here in the states the leaves started turning this year at the end of August almost two weeks early due to cooler weather. We really did not see many warm days this summer either but it was mild and great!  I'm loving it!

So...with a fall(ish) flavor let me introduce this month's contribution to the We Believe Blog Train and the great ladies at Let Me Be A Blessing forum. I'm a bit partial to it as I was the one to choose the color palette and theme/ scripture. Yay!

DRUM ROLL....

From (NASB) version of the Bible the scripture for September this year is

.Psalm 85:12

Indeed, the LORD will give what is good, And our land will yield its produce.

Psalm 107:37

And sow fields and plant vineyards, And gather a fruitful harvest.

(NASB)

September... is ... Fruitful Harvest.

By the way, I see my medical specialist consultant next week and will be starting a preventative chemo medication something that is a sister related type medication to Tamoxifen for some pre-cancer, a-tipia, that they found this January in a routine mammogram. So many blessings to be grateful for.  :)  They caught it early.

So as you are sending up prayers please also remember the hurricane survivors from Harvey and Irma here in the States and the Caribbean Islands. It's so sad, all of the destruction and displaced families.

And I am celebrating my birthday this Sat. Sept. 16th! Woohoo!

Here are your freebies, enjoy!

Columbus Day Weekend

Commemorating in America the discovery of Columbus to the Americas. Well, at least it gives the kids in school a day off on Monday :)

Guess what? A very nice lady left me a long stem red rose on Friday for offering her great customer service. I commented on her being so polite and pleasant. Her husband behind her was being a real tool to her. So just remember the power of our words... She felt so appreciative that she left the restaurant and bought a rose and came back to leave it for me. I must have made her day! Then... she made my day!

This is the last part to the Apple Pickin' Digital kit. Sorry I did not get it posted Friday The creative urge took over and I was working on a new kit... shhh it's a secret. Anyway,...

October is ...Octo-Brrrrr

Hello All,

I don't know about your corner of the world, but mine is definitely feeling like fall! We had our first snow this weekend. Temps were in the upper 40's F all day and got down to below freezing overnight at night. Brrrrr.. And I sneezed for about an hour when I had the heat on for the first time this season. Ack!

Not much to say this week as I don't really feel well and I am taking things easy this weekend.
I had social plans to go visiting friends in Owatonna and Woodbury but was not up to it. Sometimes staying home is the perfect solution! Mrhahahahaha!

I just remembered... I have some recipes to share. I had a Ton of apples to use up and preserve so... I am going to share a few of my favorite recipes with apples and comfort foods for cooler weather.

RECIPES- The first one is from Pioneer Woman- Strawberry Oatmeal Bars
cut these like breakfast oatmeal bars!! yum!

Hello.

Hello!!!

Sorry I am posting this a bit late. I was really busy this weekend having fun :)
My Father was over to help me cut up apples and make apple pie and spice cookies. Unfortunately they were not my best efforts... I've had a lot on my mind.

The number one son also came over and gave me a couple of nice hugs!! I just love him to pieces even if he is all grown up! lol.

I also met up with an old friend, Alise, about an hr and a half drive away and we saw the new Jane Fonda movie This is Where I Leave You. 4 1/2 stars. I really liked it!

So my health has been a little shaky lately...

Here is a snippet from my personal Facebook page...

"To all my favorite peeps...Facebook friends, scrap-booking buddies and designers. I have been informed that I need a heart ablation procedure. Things are a bit rough right now so if I may ask you to please send prayers. My surgery is scheduled for Wed. Nov 19th. It's been a few days now and I have finally decided to post this. It should improve things as I find movement, stairs, and physical endeavors a challenge with the erratic rhythms and low heart rates. - [Hugs]

Apple Pickin' Week three

Hi all!!!

Speaking of Apple... did anyone stand in line to get the new Apple i-phone 6 on Friday??? I know Our local Best Buy was a zoo! mrhahahaha.

Electronics- Did anyone know that Samsung and Verizon and AT&T have started the pre-order process for the new Galaxy Note 4 mobile cell phone on Friday at BestBuy? Woo-hoo. I know I want one!

  •
My favorite feature of these Note version Galaxy phones is the ability to multi-screen. You can run two apps at the same time or as an example... two internet browsers. i.e. a map and your contacts. shows the map and directions via GPS to your contact's destination AND view the contact address. THEN with the help of Air View with the S-pen, (stylus). You can also view and pull up a phone app to call the contact as in for direction or ETA of arrival, etc.  I LIKE!!!

Not only that but the note will also come out with an EDGE version... the Note Edge phone.

This one has a special curved viewing screen on the EDGE of the phone.. How Great is that?!!!!

Autumn's Sky Continues with Week Three!

Well since my physical I have been doctoring with a few things. I guess I must admit I am not 21 any more LOL. There are some signs of aging, hee-hee. Went to cardiac today to get two types of heart monitor. A holster 24 hr one and an event monitor that I have to use for a month. Gosh! We'll just deal with things once the tests come in and I learn more. Goodness!

It is so itchy though, and I can't take a shower. ugh! ;P

Well here is week three of Autumn's Sky... enjoy!

Autumn's Sky Continues with Week Two

Hi all,

Well I made it through a very busy week again. I tried to cut back and work 50 hrs only this week but somehow I still ended up working some 65 hrs. Oh, Man!!! Anywho...

Not much to say here except I live breathe work and get some sleep in between a bit, LOL! It does not look like I will have the time to commit to a design store any time soon. I will be trying my hand at setting up a shop on my own site however so wish me luck!

Here is WEEK TWO of Autumn's Sky.

Long Awaited Autumn's Sky! ;)

Weeeeeee.... I have been on a whirl wind ride. I went to Dallas Texas for a week of intensive training and stayed in a luxury hotel and just had a blast! Then I cam home and the very next day started working at the Samsung store that Saturday morning last month. Phew! I have been working solid 65 hour weeks and sometimes 15 hour days. OMGosh! so busy to say the least. But I am doing it!!! I LOVE my new job!

Anyway. I have been rushed off my feet all month. Last Saturday was my first day off all month and I slept all day LOL. I have tomorrow off so I thought that I would change things up a bit and post my kits after work late Friday nights so they are available during the weekends. Good idea, yes?

I just love the combinations of the blue/pink autumn sky and all of the turning leaves and browns of autumn.

Here is the first part of Autumn's Sky.
