It's been a wonderful sunshine filled week here. The temps have been a bit cold and chilly in the 60's degrees F and about 16 degrees C . They say we had a polar vortex. It is strange to see such cool temps in mid July. But it is much more comfortable than the very hot hot July summers that we usually get. and now for a recipe...

Another Week for the Ladies

Well goodness another week has went by already. My how the summer time flies. Between the two day jobs that keep me busy. I love to have the laptop out and off my feet for a while designing goodies for all of my scrap-booking friends. :)

Technology- I have a Chomecast already for streaming Netflix to my TV. I enjoy Netflix and Hulu+ on that device. Netflix is a movie streaming service. Hulu+ is a television service. Both can be watched with a Chromecast.

It is available at BestBuy stores here in the united States for $35. It has an HDMI connection on the end of the dongle device. You just plug this in to an HDMI port on your TV. You have to download the Chromecast software to your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. You can even then use your phone or tablet to control your TV. (example... Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet).

I have one and love it.I even cancelled my cable television account and bought a digital tuner antennae for local broadcasts and now just enjoy streamed TV and movies using my connected DVD player or my Chromecast device.

Crack BOOM Bang!

Well happy Independence America!

I had a very busy week. I worked three 16 hour days in a row. Life seems to fly by that way. mrhahahaha!

Technology- I found a lovely flash drive for my collection. a DUAL USB flash drive it's a 32 GB drive in the middle with a micro 2.0 USB on one end and a standard 2.0 USB on the other end. FINALLY a flash drive for Android tablets. :) So I used it to transfer some music files that I had to my tablet. Awesome!

He's Got Game...Tail End.

Well it's time for the last section of the He's Got Game Sampler kit. We are ending the kit with the final elements portion Part 3 elements. Sorry about the mix up Makeyesup, I meant Part 3. Technology- Do you know something really nerdy about me? well you will soon. LOL. I gave up my tiny dream-cycles angel collection and the popular beanie babies. I now collect flash drives, mrhahahaha. Well after obtaining my IT Associates degree I really took a look at some cool USB flash drives. Hee hee!

Do you know they have bling necklace flash drives too? Goodness! Well here is one of my favorites from my collection... the PNY monkey tail flash drive...

This and that June

Hi hi all, here we are in the tail end of the month of June already...Wow! Speaking of tail ends... this is the last section (Part 3) of He's Got Game. This week we have the papers and we will finish up this kit freebie with Part 3 elements next weekend. My, how time flies!

Technology- I have a new gadget or two. I picked up an external battery for a cell phone that is about the size of a tube of lipstick for under $20.I just have to remember to keep it charged and keep the cable with me and I can have several more hours of talk time on the go. So cool!


Recipes- I found the most amazing Asian food recipe from Hungry Girl! You have to check it out! This is AMAZING. Hungry Girl Kung Pow Chicken".

This is especially great because it is filled with fresh veggies, uses cooking spray instead of oil and sugar free sweetener AND... it is gluten free...weeeeeeeee!

Company- So this evening I had my friend Donna over and introduced her to this amazing recipe. Yum. I paired it with chilled mandarin oranges. This was a very refreshing dinner on a sultry summer evening for June. Good friends and good food, it can't get better than that!

Happy June!!!

I am so happy it's finally summer. Not much of a spring here to enjoy but that's Minnesota USA for ya. Kind of Bi-Polar weather. Jumps all over the place from hour to hour and day to day. One moment it's raining, the next it's sunny, then before you know it, it's hailing or a thunderstorm rolls in or a tornado watch or warning is sounding out over the emergency sirens. You just never knOW.

Well, I finally feel better after about 8 weeks of the bad cough virus. Yay!AT YOU ENJOY THIS KIT

So Happy - Sit and Spin!!!

I am so very very happy today! After nine months, I finally got to spend some time with the number #1 son! He is 20 and in college. What a long hard time missing him. I am so happy I could just sit and spin mrhahahaaaaaa!


Today starts a new kit. This time I have a boys kit for you! This is a select grouping of papers and elements from my "He's Got Game kit from 2010. Wow, how time flies!

Color Splash -May: Part Two -Elements

Well things are much better here. I started a new med to decrease the extra beats in my heart. I get PVC's which are usually harmless unless you have a lot of them... I have a lot of them. Oh, goodness!

So I start this new med and feel like a 4 hr hot flash going on with it. Oh, my! I was so hot and my cheeks and fingers were so so rosy! Apparently, I had developed flushing as a side effect. So... I will be switching that one to my night med routine, absolutely! lol.

Well my kiddo is home from college for summer break... I missed him something terrible! What a grown man he is turning out to be! I am so proud!

Things were good this week. Made it through with little drama.

Man, the temperature is so cold here tonight though, -3 F  below zero. Brrrrr. 

The forecast? 

• More cold
•  more snow
•  more winter...check. Just Brrrrr. Makes me want to stay in, that is for sure!

Hello all, Welcome to my new blog. I am now designing as Crystal'z Colorz. (Formerly Crystal's Creations- By Design)

Well this spring has been a rough one for me. I caught a bad respiratory virus and have been hospitalized twice. Once I had fluid build up around my heart and all over my body. At first the Dr.'s thought I had Congestive Heart Failure. They did a heart echo sonogram and my heart was OK. PTL!
With this diagnosis they told me to avoid fluids so that I would not build up the fluids again. So I decreased my intake of liquids.  I ended up leaving my day job by ambulance because I felt so weird and dizzy the other day. Turns out I was dehydrated and my blood pressure had spiked. Oh, My, Goodness!!!

Well things are better, I still have a lingering cough. but otherwise things are getting there. I am still not at 100% recovery yet and have limited stamina. I love to be able to sit at my desk however and to  create some lovelies for you.

Color Splash is a series of colorful designs. This one I gave a monthly name to it instead of just a season of Spring. I love spring!! I thought that a bright colored kit for May would be nice. I hope that you like it!

Autumn's Sky Continues with Week Three!

Well since my physical I have been doctoring with a few things. I guess I must admit I am not 21 any more LOL. There are some signs of aging, hee-hee. Went to cardiac today to get two types of heart monitor. A holster 24 hr one and an event monitor that I have to use for a month. Gosh! We'll just deal with things once the tests come in and I learn more. Goodness!

It is so itchy though, and I can't take a shower. ugh! ;P

Autumn's Sky Continues with Week Two

Hi all,

Well I made it through a very busy week again. I tried to cut back and work 50 hrs only this week but somehow I still ended up working some 65 hrs. Oh, Man!!! Anywho...

Not much to say here except I live breathe work and get some sleep in between a bit, LOL! It does not look like I will have the time to commit to a design store any time soon. I will be trying my hand at setting up a shop on my own site however so wish me luck!

Long Awaited Autumn's Sky! ;)

Weeeeeee.... I have been on a whirl wind ride. I went to Dallas Texas for a week of intensive training and stayed in a luxury hotel and just had a blast! Then I cam home and the very next day started working at the Samsung store that Saturday morning last month. Phew! I have been working solid 65 hour weeks and sometimes 15 hour days. OMGosh! so busy to say the least. But I am doing it!!! I LOVE my new job!

Anyway. I have been rushed off my feet all month. Last Saturday was my first day off all month and I slept all day LOL. I have tomorrow off so I thought that I would change things up a bit and post my kits after work late Friday nights so they are available during the weekends. Good idea, yes?

 I just love the combinations of the blue/pink autumn sky and all of the turning leaves and browns of autumn.

Delay to Autumn's Sky

Sorry folks...I will be away on a business trip for a week. I hope to post at some time during the week depending on the internet connection there. I will not be able to post the freebie this Sunday.

I got a new job and I am flying off to Texas for a week of intensive training! I am so excited!

Anyone seen any navy/ dark blue slacks/ pants/ Dockers for women size 20 or 22? Anywhere? I need them for my uniform.
