Welcome Meditation NEW: Mello Moments

Here is one of my older kits in my stash... Mello Moments. It is a bit too big to put up on my Store at Etsy but it has 6 parts to it. Welcome the New Year.

Anyone have Resolutions for this year? I am on a fitness/ dieting regime. I have lost 13 lbs since my heart procedure and am going to try to continue the journey toward healthy weight and wellness! Since recently gaining over 50 lbs I now will be trying to lose some 120 lbs of weight. I've done it before with low-carb diets and combination diets like Somersizing this time it is all about permanent lifestyle changes!!!!

I'm getting prepared for my big move! I've lived in the same apartment for over 16 years now. I am getting ready to do a major purge of my things and move light. I will be moving about 100 miles away. I will be within the Twin Cities metro area or surrounding suburbs. I currently reside in South Eastern Minnesota in a small City with a population of slightly over 100,000 people and growing quickly.

My dear friends live up in the Cities so it will be fun getting together with them more often. woot!

New Store is open!

I opened an Etsy store for my designs... you can order my kit(s) there if you missed a part to one of my kits or want to pick it up right away! How great is that? Currently I have Oo-La-La up in the store. There will be a few oldies in the store as well as some brand new original kits as well!

If you want previous parts to my kits you can always go to "See older posts" on the bottom right of my blog. Sorry that the week 3 link was a bit off last week. You can also go to the label on the blog for that kit and it will show all posts for the selected kit. as in "My Boys" label and such.

I had a marvelous Chistmas!! I hope that you did too! New Year was good as well. I wish everyone a prosperous and happy New Year.

Anyone want to share your resolutions? I am on a fitness and weight loss thing. Funny, when I diet I love to bake. I taste a small sample of my baking and end up either giving away the rest or sharing it at work. They love me at work!!! mrhahahahaha!!! I brought in Oatmeal cookies lately with dried cherries, and a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting! How great is that?

Hi everyone. Just a quick hi between jobs today... I am felling good. I went back to work just days after my surgery and have hardly had any time off since. eek! Doing well. It's now just a cram session to get ready for Christmas as I have company coming. LOL!

I Made it Through!

Hi hi everyone!!

So there I was lying flat on my back on a flat surgery table in the catheter lab during my heart ablation procedure. I was having low heart rates, swelling, and an irregular heart beat, especially a lot of PVC's, pre-ventricular contractions. So my heart was working 20% harder than it was supposed to be. We needed to do this procedure to avoid congestive heart failure.  Also my body was backed up with toxic fluids.

The procedure took ten hours. I was awake for most of it. They went in something like they do in an angioplasty procedure from the arteries. They had a camera and electrodes in there. They ended up burning twenty-four positions in the heart lining and around my pulmonary artery valve. phew! I am so glad I made it through all that!

I went back to work the next Monday, not even a full week off. I should have taken a full week and came back after Black Friday. lol. Best Buy was nuts!!!

Anyway, I can now walk without getting light headed or out of breath. My swelling is gone and my body is no longer all stiff and sore. I feel 10 years younger!!!

Thank you so so much for all the kind thoughts and prayers. It is so much appreciated.

Well, I'm having my heart procedure (surgery) done this week. All prayers and kind thoughts are most welcome! I am excited to get this done so that I can feel better. :)

With that on my mind a bit I can't come up with anything else to post so I'll just say, " See ya later my friends!"

Columbus Day Weekend

Commemorating in America the discovery of Columbus to the Americas. Well, at least it gives the kids in school a day off on Monday :)


Guess what? A very nice lady left me a long stem red rose on Friday for offering her great customer service. I commented on her being so polite and pleasant. Her husband behind her was being a real tool to her. So just remember the power of our words... She felt so appreciative that she left the restaurant and bought a rose and came back to leave it for me. I must have made her day! Then... she made my day!

October is ...Octo-Brrrrr

Hello All,

I don't know about your corner of the world, but mine is definitely feeling like fall! We had our first snow this weekend. Temps were in the upper 40's F all day and got down to below freezing overnight at night. Brrrrr.. And I sneezed for about an hour when I had the heat on for the first time this season. Ack!

Not much to say this week as I don't really feel well and I am taking things easy this weekend.
I had social plans to go visiting friends in Owatonna and Woodbury but was not up to it. Sometimes staying home is the perfect solution! Mrhahahahaha!

I just remembered... I have some recipes to share. I had a Ton of apples to use up and preserve so... I am going to share a few of my favorite recipes with apples and comfort foods for cooler weather.

Hello!!!

Sorry I am posting this a bit late. I was really busy this weekend having fun :)
My Father was over to help me cut up apples and make apple pie and spice cookies. Unfortunately they were not my best efforts... I've had a lot on my mind.

The number one son also came over and gave me a couple of nice hugs!! I just love him to pieces even if he is all grown up! lol.

I also met up with an old friend, Alise, about an hr and a half drive away and we saw the new Jane Fonda movie This is Where I Leave You. 4 1/2 stars. I really liked it!

So my health has been a little shaky lately...

"To all my favorite peeps...Facebook friends, scrap-booking buddies and designers. I have been informed that I need a heart ablation procedure. Things are a bit rough right now so if I may ask you to please send prayers. My surgery is scheduled for Wed. Nov 19th. It's been a few days now and I have finally decided to post this. It should improve things as I find movement, stairs, and physical endeavors a challenge with the erratic rhythms and low heart rates. - [Hugs]

Apple Pickin' Week three

Hi all!!!

Speaking of Apple... did anyone stand in line to get the new Apple i-phone 6 on Friday??? I know Our local Best Buy was a zoo! mrhahahaha.

Electronics- Did anyone know that Samsung and Verizon and AT&T have started the pre-order process for the new Galaxy Note 4 mobile cell phone on Friday at BestBuy? Woo-hoo. I know I want one!

My favorite feature of these Note version Galaxy phones is the ability to multi-screen. You can run two apps at the same time or as an example... two internet browsers. i.e. a map and your contacts. shows the map and directions via GPS to your contact's destination AND view the contact address. THEN with the help of Air View with the S-pen, (stylus). You can also view and pull up a phone app to call the contact as in for direction or ETA of arrival, etc.  I LIKE!!!

Not only that but the note will also come out with an EDGE version... the Note Edge phone.

This one has a special curved viewing screen on the EDGE of the phone.. How Great is that?!!!!

Hello There!

Well Hello! Thank you so much for the prayers! Things are ok so far. My doctors now find another nodule on my thyroid so I hope things go as well for the thyroid and that it is benign as well. I will find out Thursday 9-18 at my consultation.   :) And watch during this week for a secret bonus!!!

It's So Hot and Cold

Temperatures have been rising lately. We have had the hottest day on record for our summer so far today. 89 (F) degrees but really, really muggy. The heat index today was in the mid nineties (F). But, temps next week will be a lot cooler because of another arctic vortex.

So, I finally had some time today to get to the Lil' Lady kit section for you. Everything is OK here. Just extremely busy. I sometimes work 16 hr days a few in a row toward the end of the week and that happened this week. Oy! This weekend just seemed to come and go as well. phew... Here comes Monday...do it again! LOL!

ENTERTAINMENT: I've even been too busy to watch my soap opera program. I am a die-hard General Hospital Soap fan. I really miss the other soaps that were on ABC as well. Jason is alive! woot. And Nathan is a sweetie (hottie) hee hee. And Dante and Lulu are so cute together. I am sure Nathan and Maxie will be a great storyline too. I am disappointed that Sonny and Olivia did not work out as a couple. I also would like to see Sabrina come back on the scene. 

ELECTRONICS:  Anyone excited for the fall technology show debuts??? I am! hee hee... lol.

SOCIAL/ RECIPE: I met up with my good friend Lorinda and her family this weekend and had the most awesome mouth watering mixed berry-peach cobbler...mmmmm...from Betty-Crocker, of course!

Wow! amazing technology forecast for fall.

Hello,

yes, I was very busy these last two weeks working hard 16 hr day 10 days in a row at both stores so I got the kit out a bit late last week. lol. Sorry abut that. Things get a bit quiet on the social side of things so a bit lonely around the edges here. :)

Work- Well our good old store at 19th street McDonald's is closing up on Sunday. The franchise corporation is building us a new restaurant down several blocks from it near a movie theater and a Costco. It's really exciting!!!

OLD one...

And the new one will be similar to this! Wow! it will be quite a big change. A good thing for me is a live in the middle to both of them so I am not any more further away than before. :)

Technology - Here is an illustration of a new smart watch coming out by HP collaborating with designer = Michael Bastian this fall, a good designer, indeed! NICE!

So if you have a device capable of Bluetooth wireless, you can add a wireless speaker or wireless headphones. S-weet! Samsung Level series. And their new just out Gear Live smart watch too!! Awesomeness!
